A pool fence is an important finishing touch on your pool area. Not only is it an important part of pool safety but the right type of pool fence can make or break the entire outdoor aesthetic of your yard.
Frameless Glass, Semi-frameless Glass or Aluminium Pool Fencing
The main choices for pool fencing is whether to go with glass or aluminium. Both have their benefits, and in some instances more recently we have found customers combining glass and aluminium together.
Glass pool fencing is a popular choice for uninterrupted views between pool and surrounds. In particular, frameless glass has become the type of pool fence that we install most often. Frameless glass panels are held in place by spigots, which can come in black, white, stainless steel or other custom powder coated options. Semi-frameless is typically held in place using aluminium posts.
Aluminium is cheaper and also requires less maintenance than glass. There are a variety of standard and custom aluminium pool fence designs available.
Glass and aluminium combo is used to add interest / variety to the area. In addition, glass may be used for the area facing the patio for uninterrupted views, whilst aluminium can be used on less visible areas for lower overall maintenance requirements.
The pool fencing industry is now more heavily regulated than ever. We can assist in guiding you through the rules and regulations to ensure a hassle free installation. We liaise with the pool fencing certifier to ensure a smooth certification process.
We handle all aspects of your pool fence, including:

Frameless Glass Pool Fencing on the Gold Coast - The most popular choice
Choosing the right style of pool fence can make or break your outdoor area.
The majority of our pool fence installs are frameless glass. Whilst aluminium is extremely low maintenance, there is a downside in that it blocks your view of the pool. Frameless glass provides truly uninterrupted views of the pool area – which creates a calming environment when relaxing in your outdoor space.
Frameless glass panels are typically in 12mm width which provides for secure installation and strong resistance to impacts from the environment around the pool area.
Whilst glass pool fence maintenance is often raised, there are ways to minimise the hassles of regular cleaning. Nanocoat technology can be applied to the glass panels, making water bead off the glass, reducing streaking and staining – meaning cleaning is not required very often.
Where possible, if you are able to position the glass fence further away from the water’s edge, then it can avoid being splashed as often. Pool water splashing is often what causes watermarks on glass pool fencing.
In recent times, some customers have opted for a combination of aluminium and frameless glass. This works well where you want the open view of frameless on some of the pool fence, but may prefer the zero maintenance of aluminium on the side of the fence that you don’t see as often. It also gives an architectural feel and a point of interest to the pool fence.
Frameless Glass Spigots
The spigot holds the frameless glass pool panels in place – but not all pool spigots are the same.
We use only high quality duplex stainless steel spigots which is crucial when dealing with the harsh Australian environment, particularly on the Gold Coast where we tend to be close to the coastline.
We also provide the option of spigots that do not require electrical earthing. These come with insulator sleeves to save you money by avoiding the costly earthing process – which has been mandated by council.
Spigots are commonly installed in black, white or stainless steel colour, however custom powder coating is also available.
